Last weekend I drove almost the entire length of the state of Wisconsin, from south to north to south. This is prime time for trees and plants in Wisconsin and even the sides of the road were filled with blooming beauties. Most of these flowers are mysteries to me – native plants? invasive species? weeds? – but they look wonderful. I like this photo of a plant in bloom because it’s just a mess of color and lines and textures but somehow is still beautiful. And it’s just something I came across while walking down the road in the woods in Sawyer County.
